Making
Valentine Cards for the sick in the nursing homes:
Things Needed:
Thick Paper
Construction paper
Markers
Glue
Acrylic colors
Old Toothbrush
Steps 1, 2 and 3 can be done by the teacher ahead of time.
-
Water down the acrylic colors of your choice a little bit so that they
flow. Take an old
tooth brush and dip in the colors. Then with your finger lightly
touch the bristles of the brush so that the paint forms a spray on to the
thick paper. Use different colors to spray to make it look pretty.
-
Then cut the paper into size of small cards and fold them in the shape
of a card. Cut the edges of the cards with decorative scissors.
-
Cut some heart shapes out of the construction paper.
-
The children can glue the hearts to form a person.
-
The children can use the markers to draw the eyes, nose, mouth , hair
etc.
-
On the biggest heart, the children can write "God loves us all"
